Where these estimates come from

For Ho Chi Minh City, we request the model grid cell near 10.8231, 106.6297. Open-Meteo provides the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) global model at roughly 45 km resolution. Nearby places may share a grid cell, and local pollution can differ.

The AQI is the provider’s modelled US AQI across pollutants. PM2.5 is a concentration in µg/m³. We do not convert a single hourly PM2.5 concentration into a daily AQI. These estimates use a different basis from the measured PM2.5-derived AQI on our Malaysia and Singapore pages.

“Valid for” is the time represented by the model, not the time a sensor took a measurement or a model run was issued. The app checks for new estimates every 15 minutes. Older estimates and saved responses are labelled; missing values remain unavailable.
