Privacy notice
How Haze Monitor handles data.
Haze Monitor can be used without an account. The site does not require your name, email address or payment information. If you choose to contact Haze Monitor by email, your address and message are used to review and respond to your request.
Analytics and network records
The site loads Google Analytics to measure page visits and client-side navigation. Google may process device, browser, approximate-location and interaction data under its own terms. The hosting provider may also keep ordinary request records such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, response status and timing for security and reliability.
Haze Monitor's application logs avoid raw response bodies, search terms, user coordinates, request cookies and credentials. Diagnostic records can include the requested route, request timing, upstream status, a generated request identifier and a Cloudflare request identifier.
Browser storage and location
The app stores recently received air-quality observations in browser storage. This lets it retain the last valid observation during a temporary source outage. Stored readings contain public station data and source timestamps, not an account profile.
Location access is optional and requires browser permission. On the illustrated city view, the browser compares coordinates with the built-in city list to select a nearby view. The site does not create an account history from that choice. You can withdraw location permission or clear site storage in your browser settings.
External services and email
Pages link to DOE Malaysia, data.gov.sg, NEA Singapore and map providers. Those services receive requests under their own privacy terms. Email sent to mohtashammurshid@gmail.com is handled by the sender's and recipient's email providers. The message may remain in the mailbox and provider backups according to their retention settings.
Contact messages are used to investigate and respond to the reported matter. Do not include precise home coordinates, health information, credentials or other sensitive details that are not needed to explain the problem.
